Rembrandt

When looking for a preamp that will make any source simply sound fuller, richer, and better in every way, Rembrandt is where you should start.  Embracing both even and odd order harmonics in a design that is all original and uncompromising, Rembrandt has become the standard for what tubes can do!

Preamp

The Rembrandt is centered around the EF806 (EF86) and 12au7 tubes, combining pentode and triode sounds for the most lush, harmonically rich and massive sound possible. Intended as a desert island preamp with immense detail and a larger than life sound, Rembrandt is like nothing you have ever heard.  Expect amazing results on literally any source!

DI

Each of the two channels on the Rembrandt has a mic input on the back as well as a DI instrument input on the front, with the DI input bypassing the XLR input when plugged in.  The XLR input will pass through the input transformer whereas the DI will enter the circuit after the input transformer, giving you the option to explore the sonics of pre and post input transformer responses.

Controls

Each channel on the Rembrandt allows the user to manipulate a wide range of parameters:

GAIN and TRIM are straightforward and present the ability to keep the preamp as clean as possible or drive the preamp into overdrive while retaining the ability to bring the output volume level down to the desired level.  Total gain on tap is 60db or 70db depending on if boost is engaged.  

PAD will attenuate the input signal significantly in order to accommodate louder sources when needed, and BOOST presents a significant gain boost in the first gain stage (EF806).  This boost will also lightly alter the tone of the preamp and can be used for more than a simple gain boost when desired.

LOW CUT is a variable control that allows the user to dial in the precise low cut curve needed, with a range that is massive and guaranteed to cover any range desired.

IMPEDANCE is also a wide range variable control but it targets the input impedance of the mic preamp, making this incredibly helpful in pairing with a variety of mics of nearly impedance requirements.
